Y Gro was incorporated on June 10, 1975 as a Limited Liability Company under the Companies Ordinance of Sri Lanka in order to carry out Relief, Rehabilitation, Development and Holistic empowerment of the poor.
Y Gro also registered as a Social Services / Non Governmental Organization under the Voluntary Social Service Organization Act.
Y Gro is committed to live and work amongst the affected community and establish practical models. These models are then used as an educational tool to educate and empower the poor and vulnerable.
The mission is achieved through various interventions such as educational support for secondary school children, Vocational Training, employment Servers, Dairy development, Resettlement Programs, Micro Enterprise Development etc.
While providing these, Y Gro does not make any distinction between races, religion, caste or class.
