VisionFund Lanka works to empower our clients to grow successful businesses which enable children to grow up with improved health and education. VisionFund Lanka has been operating in Sri Lanka since 2004, and is part of a global network of microfinance institutions owned by VisionFund International.

VisionFund Lanka offers the service of microfinance through a number of loan products: agriculture loans, business loans, housing loans, education loans and loans for dairy development (special project).

As of 2016, the organization serves over 76,000 borrowers with a portfolio of over USD 2.83Bn, impacting the lives of over 151,740 children, through 28 branches spread throughout the island.

The methodology that VFL uses is the solidarity group lending methodology, which is widely used in South Asia. People of similar need and background voluntarily form groups and guarantee each other to repay the loans taken.
