Corporate profile of South Asia Partnership Sri Lanka

South Asia Partnership Sri Lanka (SAPSRI) commenced its operations as a project under the MARGA Institutein 1981, with the support of the Canadian International Development Agency & SAP Canada.

In 1985, became a separate entity and subsequently a partner of the South Asia Partnership – International chain. In 1986, SAPSRI was registered with the Registrar of Companies under Section 21 of the Companies Act No. 17 of 1982, as a company limited by guarantee and under Voluntary Social Services Organizations Act No. 31 of 1980 and amended by Act No. 8 of 1998 as a non-profit and non-governmental voluntary organization.  SAPSRI was also incorporated as an independent organization on 1st January 1986 under the amended Companies Act No. 7 of 2007.

SAPSRI was funded by many foreign donors in the past and with their support implemented large number of projects successfully covering national harmony and community development etc., with a view to uplifting their livelihood etc.
